Over 30 people from IETHK delegation visited Googol Institute of Motion Control Technology in Shenzhen on March 21. GoogolTech showcases its Innovational Technology at China Hi-Tech Fair: (11 Nov 13)
 
In the 15th China Hi-Tech Fair which will be held during 16 - 21 November in Shenzhen China, Googol Technology will take the theme of "First Class Core Technology Platform for Equipment Manufacturing" and show its newly developed technology and product development platform, including industrial robot, CNC system and energy saving products under the Chinese National 863 Project.

Googoltech has Joint Venture with Servotronix to release Servo Drive Products: (23 Apr 13)
 
Googoltech is pleased to announce that a new company named Servotronix-Googol Technology (Shenzhen) Limited has been set up with joint venture in Shenzhen city with Servotronix Motion Control Limited of Israel to manufacture its self-owned brand GTHD series servo drive products in China. This joint venture will provide a complete solution to both domestic and global advanced equipment manufacturing and industry automation customers.

GTHD series is co-developed by the R&D teams of both companies after years of co-operation. GTHD series supports servo motors with power ranging from 200 to 3,000 watts. It also supports EtherCAT, CANopen industrial field bus and integrates seamlessly with existing Googoltech motion controllers to form a complete platform. GTHD series has been applied successfully in the fields of industrial robotics, semiconductor, textile, printing, packaging and wind power equipment with outstanding performance.

Hong Kong Mould and Product Technology Association visited Googol: (05 Nov 12)
 
A Delegate of about 50 people from the Hong Kong Mould and Product Technology Association (HKMPTA) visited Googol Institute of Motion Control Technology on October 26. A seminar was also held to discuss issues on the collaboration opportunity of automation technology between Shenzhen and Hong Kong.

During the seminar, Professor Wu Hong, the General Manager of Googoltech introduced the core technology and business model of the company. He said, ※Googoltech has positioned itself as the driving force of the equipment manufacturing industry by providing core technology innovation platform. Under the current background of equipment manufacturing industry, we should seize the opportunity of The National Twelfth Five-Year Plan (The social and development initiatives of Chinese Mainland) and take advantage of the collaboration of Shenzhen and Hong Kong in order to expand the automation industry and promote the development steps of Hong Kong and Mainland in the global manufacturing industry.§

After the seminar, the guests had a tour of Googol Institute and its display of the latest R&D results. They showed a keen interest in Googoltech*s independently developed industrial robotic arms, CNC system, CPAC development platform. They were impressed and expressed intention to cooperate with Googoltech to improve the level of their products and manufacture processes.

The HKMPTA was founded in 2005. The members come from elites and leaders of the mould, metal processing and medical equipment industry of Hong Kong. They hope to enhance the collaboration between Shenzhen and Hong Kong with technology to promote the level of Hong Kong, Mainland the world and strengthen the core competitive power of China in the global precision manufacturing industry.
 


Googol Science Park Construction Kicks Off: (22 Oct 12)
 
Googoltech held its groundbreaking ceremony to announce the start of the construction project for Googol Science Park on the 18th of October 2012.

Located in the beautiful Song Shan Lake High-Tech Industrial Development Zone in Dongguan City, Googol Science Park, which occupies 30 acres of land area, is the first large-scale construction project of Googoltech and is estimated to be completed in the beginning of 2015. It was planned with three main buildings with over 42000 square meters. After its completion, it will become the first comprehensive research and production base of Googoltech, consisting of automation industrial application research center, production base for motion controllers and industrial robotics, and related RandD facilities, etc. Moreover, a history museum of motion control is also under planning in the Science Park. Over 100 people from the local government authorities, Googoltech management, Guangdong Hongda Group which is responsible for the construction project, Googoltech partners and guests attended the ceremony. The participants jointly dug the mud and laid the foundation stone to declare the beginning of the construction project.

The Ceremony remarks the new milestone of Googoltech in this development history. Googoltech will take this as an opportunity to improve its product technology, increase its production capacity, and upgrade its service level. The main goal is to focus on the advantages of resources to promote the manufacturing and application of high-end equipment such that it serves the purpose of helping the upgrade transformation of industries of the Pearl River Delta Area and China.

Googoltech is pleased to announce 6 patents and copyrights authorization newly awarded by the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) of the People*s Republic of China.

Among 5 new patents, two are invention patents named ※Motion Controller formation method, devices and motion control,§ and ※A flying shear method and the exclusive motion controller for flying shear§.

Another three are new structure patents and appearance design patents, including ※The structure of quick installation PCB§, ※Integrated all-in-one controller (GUC)§ and ※Motion Drive (GTHD)§. Googol Technology launches its Institute of Motion Control Technology in Shenzhen, China to concentrate on development of the core technology in motion control, servo drives, machine vision and industrial applications for the equipment manufacturing industry.

The newly launched Institute is located in the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) Research Institute in Shenzhen High-Tech Zone. The Googol Best New Application Paper Award 2010 has been granted to the IEEE Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering (T-ASE) Scientist at the 6th IEEE Conference on Automation Science and Engineering (CASE) held on Aug 21-24, 2010 at Toronto, Canada.

On June 29, the "Seminar of Computer Programmable Automation Control (CPAC) Technology for Advanced Manufacturing§ jointly organized by Googol Technology and Shenzhen Nanshan Science and Technology Institute was held successfully at Crowne Plaza Hotel in Shenzhen, China. Nearly 300 guests including industry experts, academic scholars and automation equipment manufacturing business representatives from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Shenzhen and the surrounding regions were invited to participate the event and share experiences of using this innovative CPAC technology.

With years of development in motion control technology and plentiful experiences in the automation equipment manufacturing industry, combined with market demands and continuous innovation, Googol Technology introduced CPAC technology that represents the latest development trends of industrial automation and achieved gratifying results in many industrial applications. At the seminar, Googol Technology displayed the CPAC control platform and gave a detailed introduction of the CPAC technology and its applications. 8 Axes Embedded Motion Controller Released: (19 Nov 09)
 
Googol Technology launches a new version of 8 axes embedded motion controllers today.

GUC-800-TPV/TPG series embedded controllers consist of both PC functions and motion control functions in one architecture. The motion control part is using Googol Technology*s GTS- series controller architecture which is developed based on 32-bit DSP + FPGA architecture. Its abundant control functions make it widely applied in high speed, high precision point-to-point motion area and multi-axis (up to 8 axes) and synchronization motion areas. The PC part is designed based on the powerful embedded Intel chipset architecture that successfully integrates features as digital signal control, motion control and logic control into one board and thereby achieves much better control performance, greater reliability as well as high stability. The highly integrated embedded architecture also come with greater thermal reliability, significantly boosting the shelf life of the systems and affording greater value and mileage for the customers. Googol Technology launches a new version of embedded motion controllers, GUC-400-ESV/SG-M01(M02) today.

The GUC series are embedded controllers containing both PC functions and motion control functions, offering control for servo and step motors up to 4 axes. The motion control part is using Googol Technology*s GE series controller architecture. The advantages of this type of motion controller are the great performance in continuous trajectory control as well as the velocity look-ahead function. The PC part of the controller is designed based on Intel*s embedded chipset architecture. The new GUC series contains -L2 and -L3 types. The L3 type is higher compacted structure in which terminal board is integrated into the controller box. OS like Dos, WinCE, WinXP could be the operation system on the embedded controllers.

In comparison with the old architecture of PC plugged-in motion controllers, the highly integrated architecture of embedded PC and motion controller shows better performance in anti-interference capability, reliability and stability, even in the very bad industrial circumstances, such as dusty, moist and noisy, etc. Also, the cost-effectiveness of the embedded controller is another reason to choose. Seminar in Real-Time Control Solution 2008 was jointly organized by Googol Technology and Solutions 4U Sdn Bhd in Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) on 28th October 2008.

The Opening Ceremony of ※Core Technology Platform for Advanced Machine Manufactory§ was jointly held by the HKUST, SZ-HKIER and Googol Technology on 13 October in Shenzhen IER Institution.

As the first collaboration project under the policy of "Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation Circle", the platform is operated by Googol Technology. With the great support by the Hong Kong and Shenzhen Governments, aid by the Automation Technology Centre of the HKUST, the platform will focus on the technologies in motion control, driver, machinery & mechanical design, vision and robotic, to form a lot of sizable system integrators and electronic equipment manufacturers, and therefore to strongly support over tens of industries fields, such as chips, PCB, computer, melding, printing, textile, in Shenzhen surrounding areas.

The ceremony was officiated by Mr. Chu Jianping, Chief of Shenzhen Bureau of Science & Technology of Nanshan District, Shenzhen. Guests of honor included Mr. Chen Yingchun, Deputy Mayor of Shenzhen, and other senior officers from Hong Kong and Shenzhen government. The latest-model Embedded Motion Controller, GUC-400-ESG-P01-I, newly designed and produced by Googol Technology has successfully passed CE certification.



The new type is based on combination of embedded PC main board of X86 with Googol*s existing DSP motion control card in a hardware platform. GE- series multi axes motion control card was used as its control part that performs excellent functions in control of point-to-point motion, continuous trajectory motion, and laser power, while X86 embedded PC main board performs as general operation system, and thus it has the advantages of high reliability, small size, user-friendly and high cost-effectiveness in comparison with the original PC-plug-in motion controller. The new model is applicable for laser cutting & engraving, laser marking , dispenser and other compact equipments.

Googol Technology has newly released the GE800 motion controller and Embedded Standalone Laser Control System.

GE-800 series motion controllers developed by Googol Technology Ltd is a low cost 8-axis DSP based motion controller, specially designed for point-to-point motion control. Owing to its capability of perfect positioning and velocity profile curves, it is used for quick and accurate positioning applications, and suitable for the equipments that adopt high-speed and high-precision point-to-point motion modes, such as PCB drilling machine, SMT, Bonding machine, etc.

The Embedded Laser Control System is a standalone processing control system possessing both motion control and laser control functions. It is suitable for many industrial application related with laser processing, such as metal cutting, organic glass cutting, wood cutting, clothing & leather, printing and plate making, wafer cutting, printed circuit board, etc.
The system consists a newly developed all-in-one embedded motion-laser controller; a user-friendly operation panel and cutting & engraving control software as well. BHT, together with his parterners and scholars from University Technology Malaysia, visited Googol Technology from January 10 to January 14, 2007. They have visited the laboratory of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and checked out some demostrations of Googol's products of in Hong Kong and Shenzhen respectively. After some discussions about business collaboration and partnership in research projects, distributorship contract was signed on January 12. Intelux ICT will be the distributor of Googol Technology in Malaysia.

Googol Technology has newly released two types of innovative multi-axes motion controllers, which can control motor motion, laser power, and laser scanner as well.

GT-400-SCAN scanner motion controller is a type of 4 axes controllers based on PCI and PC104 bus interfaces. Equipped with higher frequency DSP processor and FPGA, it can control scanner, motors and laser synchronously and efficiently. Moreover, the motion of each axis is mutually independent. With larger memory, higher control performance, and more precise control command set, the controller is widely used in the industrial fields such as sophisticated processing, semiconductor incision, high speed forming and laser drilling, etc. .

GE-200-SV-SCAN laser scanner is a type of 2 axes controller. ISA, PC104 or PCI bus types are selectable. This type of controller can control scanner, motors and laser synchronously and effectively. Googol Technology has been invited to join the Chinese National Standardization Committee of Industrial Machinery Electrical Systems ("NASCIMES"). Mr. Wu Hong, General Manager of the Company, was invited to be one of the committees. As one of the branches of Standardization Administration of China ("SAC"), NASCIMES is responsible for the national standardization of electrical equipment of industrial machinery in China.

"Since China joined the WTO, the professional standardization has become more and more important. However, the adoption level of technical standardization in China is now relatively low. The proposal for the establishment of "IEEE transactions on Automation Science and Engineering The Googol Best New Application Paper Award" has been approved by the IEEE Technical Activities Board, Awards and Recognition Committee (TABARC)

IEEE is the leading global professional organization in electrotechnology, information technologies and allied sciences. The Googol award is an annual award to recognize the Best New Application Paper of the IEEE Transactions on Automation Science and Engineering (T-ASE) published in the previous calendar year.

This is the first IEEE award nominated by a Chinese company. "China is the most rapid developing manufacturing base in the world. The State Intellectual Property Office of P.R. China promulgated the patent clearance to Googol Technology on September 1 in 2004 for the new design of Inverted Pendulum that designed by Googol Technology.The patent clearance number is ZL200330114101.4, for a term of ten years. The Inverted Pendulum is an unstable non-linear system. It is an excellent facility for education and experiment about the control theory. At present, hundreds of Chinese and oversea universities are adopting Googol's Inverted Pendulum for their education and scientific research.

GBB1005 is the latest addition to Googol's GBB family of Ball & Bean education products. It consists of two control systems, analog control system and digital control system that allow users to realize both digital control as well as analog control on the same equipment, which will be not only convenient for operation, but also greatly reduce the buyers' purchasing cost.
The analog control system includes a power amplifier and a three-stage operational amplifier and some potentiometers. The digital control system consists of an intelligent control module, which is a high precision, fully digital servo drive, with embedded intelligence, and built-in 100W power amplifier. The drive is usable for brushless motors with sinusoidal or trapezoidal commutation, or DC brush motors. Programmable with the high-level Motion Language, the Intelligent Control module embeds on one board advanced motion control and PLC-specific functionality. A user-friendly graphical control interface is able to visually show the results of the controller and all of the operating data.

GBB Ball & Bean series is specially designed for teaching the basic control courses in automation, mechatronics, electronic, and electrical engineering.
